What is Digital Marketing?
Digital marketing is a term that refers to the use of digital channels to market your business. It’s a broad term that encompasses many different strategies, including social media marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, and more.
Getting Started with Digital Marketing
To get started with digital marketing, you’ll need to create a plan. To do this, follow these steps:
Define your goals. What do you want to achieve? Are there any specific metrics or objectives that would be useful for measuring success? For example, if one of your goals is “increase sales” then it might make sense for the next step in your plan to be creating an email campaign that drives traffic back to the website where people can buy products directly from there.
Identify target audience(s). Who are these people who will benefit from what we have to offer and why should they care about us specifically? What makes us different from other companies offering similar products/services or even competitors within our own industry space who may already have established brand recognition among consumers (e.g., Coca-Cola vs Pepsi)?
Content Marketing
Content marketing is the process of creating content for your audience, optimizing it for search engines, and leveraging it for social media.
Content can be anything from an article or blog post to a video or infographic. The idea behind content marketing is that if you create quality content that solves problems and answers questions, people will share it with their peers (and even pay attention to ads).
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of optimizing your website to rank higher in search results. This includes researching relevant keywords and optimizing your site’s content for them, as well as building backlinks from other websites that point to yours.
Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC)
PPC advertising is a great way to get your business in front of people who are actively looking for what you have to offer. It’s also a great way to test out keywords and phrases that might not be getting any traffic through organic search.
PPC campaigns are very easy to set up, but they can take some time before they start bringing in results. If you’re interested in running PPC ads, here are some things that will help:
Understand how it works – PPC is an auction-based system where advertisers bid on keywords (or phrases) related to what they’re selling. This means that if someone searches “buy shoes” on Google, then there will be several shoe companies bidding against each other for that keyword so their ad appears at the top of the page when someone clicks on it or searches for another variation like “where can I buy shoes?”
